Position Summary
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tour Consultant to join our dynamic team in Colombo. As a key player in our operations, you will work directly with clients to design and coordinate tailored travel itineraries while ensuring smooth tour execution. Your role will involve delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining strong industry knowledge, and enhancing every traveler’s journey through Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop personalized and well-structured travel itineraries for inbound clients
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and recommend tour packages
- Coordinate bookings with hotels, transport providers, and local guides
- Provide pre-departure and on-tour support to ensure a seamless experience
- Maintain updated knowledge of tourism trends, attractions, and seasonal offerings
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote new packages
- Handle inquiries through email, phone, and social media channels professionally
- Ensure all services meet Ceylon Empire’s high standards of excellence
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Proven experience in travel consulting or tour operations
- Strong knowledge of Sri Lanka’s tourism destinations and activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in other languages is a plus
- Proficient in itinerary planning, customer handling, and booking software
- Degree or Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-paced, service-focused environment
- Friendly, customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities
