Position Summary:
As a Quantity Surveyor based in Kurunegala, your primary focus will be on managing the financial performance of construction projects. You will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, analyzing subcontractor quotations, negotiating contracts, and monitoring project budgets to ensure work is completed within approved financial limits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and submit interim payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts.
- Conduct site measurements and valuations of completed work to verify contractor progress and claims.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and architects, on commercial and contractual matters.
- Maintain detailed and organized project cost records, ensuring documentation is up to date and audit-ready.
- Support the procurement team in sourcing competitive prices and managing supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and legal obligations relating to cost control and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working on construction projects, preferably in residential, commercial, or infrastructure development.
- Familiarity with industry-standard methods of measurement (e.g., SMM7, CESMM, or NRM).
- Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan construction contracts, including ICTAD and FIDIC.
- Strong understanding of local material pricing, labor costs, and construction schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software such as AutoCAD, CostX, or BuildSoft.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Sinhala and English.
