Position Summary:

As a Medical Representative, you will serve as the primary link between our organization and medical professionals across the Kandy region. Your role will involve visiting clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies to educate healthcare providers about our products. Success in this role depends on your ability to manage your territory effectively, understand the clinical impact of the products you represent, and communicate technical information clearly and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote assigned pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in Kandy and surrounding areas.
  • Schedule and conduct regular visits with healthcare providers to share relevant product information, respond to queries, and provide samples where appropriate.
  • Deliver presentations that are factual, concise, and tailored to each healthcare provider’s needs and specialty.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on products, therapeutic areas, competitor activity, and market trends.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of calls, feedback, and other interactions in line with company protocols.
  • Report territory activity and market insights to the sales manager in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing and logistics, to ensure proper product availability and promotional support.
  • Attend internal training sessions and external medical conferences when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or a related healthcare field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in pharmaceutical sales, medical marketing, or healthcare services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil is an advantage).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel daily across the Kandy region.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate technical or scientific information clearly.
  • Demonstrated responsibility in managing schedules and reporting accurately.
